After a series of delays, Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign, also known as ”¥$,” have finally unleashed their highly anticipated album “Vultures 2”.
Kanye, also called Ye, made the announcement during his recent chat on Justin LaBoy’s podcast, “The Download”, confirming that the release date for “Volume 2.” February’s Volume 1,” was initially expected to drop on March 8th, but ended up dropping unexpectedly on February 10th. Then, “Volume 2” release date was pushed back to April 5 before settling to May.
The cover of “Vultures 2” pays tribute to Ty Dolla $ign’s incarcerated brother, Jabreal Muhammad, also known as Big TC, who’s serving a life sentence for a crime both brothers insist he didn’t commit. The album boasts features from North West, Ty Dolla $ign, Beloved King, Hippie Shrettin, and more.
Kanye West also premiered a new music video for his track “Talking”, off “Vultures 1” on April 30, 2024, directed by his 10-year-old daughter North West. Alongside this, he treated fans to a remix of Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That” on Apr 24, 2024.
“Vultures 1″ album marked the debut studio album of the American hip-hop supergroup ”¥$,” comprising Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign. It commemorates the 20th anniversary of Ye’s debut studio album, “The College Dropout”, which will soon receive a sample from his daughter North West titled “Elementary School Dropout”.
The album features an array of artists including North West, Nipsey Hussle, Lil Durk, Playboi Carti, Chris Brown, Quavo, Rich the Kid, Travis Scott, YG, Mike Tyson, India Love, Bump J, and Freddie Gibbs. The album became Ye’s 11th consecutive number-one debut on the US Billboard 200, breaking his tie with Eminem. It also solidified Ty Dolla $ign’s first. Moreover, it dominated charts in 17 regions, including Australia, Canada, and Germany, earning Ye his first number-one album in those countries. All the album’s tracks made it to the Billboard Hot 100, bringing Ye’s career entries to 157.
Despite competition from Dua Lipa’s “Radical Optimism” and Taylor Swift’s “The Tortured Poets Department”, boasting 14 Grammy Awards, 40 American Music Awards, 39 Billboard Music Awards, 23 MTV Video Music Awards, 20 People’s Choice Awards, and 12 Country Music Awards, fans are confident Ye will still reign supreme on the charts, as he always does.

“$¥$” is gearing up to drop the third installment of their album trilogy, “Vultures 3”. They’re also slated to kick off the “Vultures” world tour from the early summer of 2024 to early 2025.
Ye took to his Instagram stories to make a big announcement about the upcoming world tour, giving fans a glimpse of what’s in store. He shared a screenshot revealing potential tour dates and locations, complete with text messages and an Excel sheet. The tour itinerary includes stops at arenas in major cities like New York, Toronto, Los Angeles, and Chicago. But it doesn’t stop there – Ye’s vision extends to international destinations such as Egypt, London, Dubai, and Madrid. The grand finale is set for Tokyo, where the tour will culminate at the iconic Tokiyo Dome.
Adding to the excitement, Ye hinted at the possibility of unconventional performances at historic landmarks. From the majestic Corcovado mountain in Rio de Janeiro, home to the famed Christ the Redeemer statue, to the ancient pyramids of Giza, originally constructed as royal tombs for Egyptian pharaohs, and even the monumental Great Wall of China known as the longest structure ever built by humans, which was built over centuries by six different China’s emperors to protect their territory– Ye’s ambition knows no bounds.
