Cardi B was named the legendary magazine’s new Creative Director in Residence earlier this month, and she has recently shared an update of her first courses in action with Centerfold.
Cardi B was officially named Playboy’s first creative director in residence in December. In addition to being a Grammy-winning rapper, an actor, a mother, and a certified wedding officiant. Cardi B made her Art Basel debut as creative director at the Playboy party in Miami earlier (December 2021), where she celebrated the launch of Playboy’s new lifestyle brand, Big Bunny, alongside Charli XCX, David Guetta, and Lizzo. In a Prada short dress with a diamond Playboy rabbit pendant, the “Bodak Yellow” rapper turned attention.
“Today is a Playboy milestone: we want to welcome our first-ever Creative Director in Residence, the icon, @iamcardib to the family,” the brand captioned an Instagram post shared on Dec. 2.
Cardi will take on responsibilities as a founding member of Centerfold, a new creator-led platform, identical to OnlyFans, that will “allow content creators to interact directly with fans,” as reported by Forbes when playboy first announced the news.

She continued, adding, “We’re going to have soooooo much fun.”
Cardi B announced the launch of Playboy’s new content platform, CENTERFOLD, on her Instagram account on Friday (December 24). Followers could see what appears to be Cardi’s member page in her post, which states that she is a founder member and creative director of CENTERFOLD.
“My first project with @playboy !!! introducing CENTERFOLD, so excited to share this platform with so many amazing creators @playboycenterfold,” The Bronx rap superstar wrote in the caption.

The brand revealed earlier that the new site will amplify the messages of “the most revolutionary voices of our day, through digital covers, feature stories, interviews, and, of course, unique and sensual pictorials. We will also arm our creators with access to content production, merchandise capabilities, blockchain integration, and more.”
