Drake Losses $1 Million Bet On Argentina Defeating France In The 2022 FIFA World Cup Final Today: Is “Drake Curse” Canceled?

Whenever it comes to sporting events, Drake is notorious for placing large bets, so it only made sense that the “Certified Lover Boy” rapper would wager $1 million on Argentina to defeat France in today’s World Cup final. Following his announcement, fans are now afraid that the “Drake curse” will happen once more. This might therefore be beneficial or terrible, all depending on whose team you’re on.

Everyone is aware of Drake’s poor history when it comes to placing wagers or showing support for particular athletes or teams. He frequently backs teams to win, except these teams to ultimately lose. Teams and athletes that have experienced “Drake curse” repercussions include when he  placed a wager on FC Barcelona to defeat Real Madrid in their match.

Drake once posted a video of himself exercising while sporting an Alabama hoodie to show his support for the school’s football squad. Following that, the Clemson Tigers beat the Alabama Crimson Tide 44-16. Drake was seen in a post with Sergio Aguero, a player for Manchester City of England, and the English team was eliminated from the Champions League just after. And let’s not forget the moment that Anthony Joshua, a boxer who had actually gone unbeaten, lost to Andy Ruiz Jr. in June 2019. Some fans believed it was still a chance as Messi might break the curse. Let’s not forget this is all speculation, because Drake also made a bet on the Golden State Warriors to win the NBA championship, and they won.

Argentina defeated France in the 2022 FIFA World Cup final, which took place on Sunday, December 18, 2022, at Qatar’s Lusail Iconic Stadium. Argentina prevailed 4-2 on penalties following a 3-3 game following additional time. Although the team won, Drake still lost his bet. Due to him betting for them to win in 90 minutes (within regulation) which is how long they were initially supposed to play, the team won of a penalty over time and not of original bet. If he would have won he would’ve got $2.75 million, which is a little double over his initial investment. So, is “Drake’s curse” real or just a speculation?
