Rick Ross Drops “For The Money” Produced By Pharrell

Rick Ross, the Miami rap titan known for his lavish lifestyle and boss-like delivery, is back on the music scene with a new single titled “For The Money”—a track that reunites him with Virginia Beach’s legendary producer and style icon Pharrell Williams. Dropping Friday, June 27, the release is poised to mark a new era in Ross’s career, blending his signature bravado with Pharrell’s genre-bending sonic craftsmanship.

The two heavyweights, who’ve collaborated multiple times over the past decade, filmed the accompanying video in Paris, capturing the essence of international elegance and street sophistication. Directed by Benny Boom, the video features both artists in sharply tailored suits amid the romantic cityscape—highlighting the high-end visuals Ross has become known for.

“This is an international slapper,” Ross declared in a teaser video posted to Instagram. “We shot it in Paris, it’s classy, it’s global, it’s elegant. Pharrell always comes through for his brother.” He added that the song represents “a new level of creativity” and promises to break records. “This right here is different,” he said. “This will forever guarantee my name is set in stone.”

Ross, who first linked with Pharrell back in 2008 on “Get Down” and later on tracks like “Presidential” and “MMG The World Is Ours,” is returning to music with purpose. While he’s been relatively quiet on the music front since his 2023 joint album Too Good To Be True with Meek Mill, Ross has stayed active—recently drawing attention for his high-profile feud with Drake, dropping the pointed diss track “Champagne Moments.”

Outside of the booth, Ross is also making moves in business. Earlier this year, he launched a dental clinic in Atlanta alongside celebrity dentist Dr. Mario Montoya, the man behind his signature veneers. “We did it!” Ross posted in March. “Three years after planning this in Cali, Colombia, we’ve opened our first dentist office in the U.S.—right here in Sandy Springs. Come get your ‘Billion Dollar Smile.’”

Pharrell, meanwhile, continues to expand his artistic empire. After being appointed Men’s Creative Director at Louis Vuitton in 2023, he’s remained a dominant cultural force through both fashion and music. His ability to blend pop appeal with experimental flair is on full display in “For The Money,” which layers tropical, uptempo rhythms under Ross’s authoritative flow.
