Kendrick Lamar Will Drop A Song Before The Super Bowl Confirmed By Ebro

Kendrick Lamar is back in the studio after a short hiatus, and this time he's not here to play.

He's doing a halftime show at one of the country's biggest sporting events, Super Bowl LVI, this year's performing with Snoop Dogg,  Eminem, The Game, Dr. Dre, and  Mary J. Blige.

Now he's back with new music, since 2017 D****. Ebro Darden, EBRO a member of the music media, revealed the news.

Ebro read a note from the show's producer, Sasha, on Wednesday's episode of Rap Life Review on Apple Music, stating that the Compton rapper is dropping on Friday.

What I’m reading here provided by our producer Sasha… the way this reads, it sounds like it’s confirmed that we will get a single from Kendrick Lamar before his performance,” Ebro remarked on the broadcast.

"With the release of his single to be debuted ahead of the performance." he continued.

It's unclear whether the track is a prelude to a new album from Kndkrik, however, Kendrick has stated that he will be creating his final TDE album in 2021.

Kendrick’s most recent album, D***, awarded him a Pulitzer Prize for Music in 2017. He also recently caused a stir in the rap scene by hopping on his cousin Baby Keem’s song “Family Ties.”

D*** is Kendrick Lamar’s fourth studio album. Top Dawg Entertainment, Aftermath Entertainment, and Interscope Records released it on April 14, 2017. Lamar revealed in a new interview with MTV News that the album was made to be played backward.

“I think like a week after the album came out, fans realized you can play the album backward,” said Kendrick.“It plays as a full story and even a better rhythm. It’s one of my favorite rhythms and tempos within the album. It’s something that we definitely premeditate while we’re in the studio.” He continued explaining.
