Wiz Khalifa Previews Rock Collaboration With Good Charlotte: “I Love Them”

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania rapper Wiz Khalifa has always had a knack for pushing boundaries in music, and he’s doing it again. During an upcoming episode of Bunnie XO’s Dumb Blonde podcast, the Taylor Gang leader revealed he recently teamed up with pop/punk veterans Good Charlotte for a new track that leans into rock territory.

“I just did a song with Good Charlotte, too, before I came out here,” Wiz shared in a preview clip from the full interview, which drops July 7. “I love them. Good Charlotte is the s—t.”

The collaboration comes as Good Charlotte, the Maryland-based band led by brothers Joel and Benji Madden, gears up for their comeback album Motel Du Cap, arriving August 8. It’s their first project in seven years, with only one track, “Rejects,” released so far. While it’s not confirmed whether their collab with Wiz will make the final cut, it adds excitement to the band’s long-awaited return.

This isn’t Khalifa’s first time stepping outside his rap roots. Over the years, he’s surprised fans with cross-genre pairings—from pop to rock. “I’ve been blessed to be a part of some really cool songs,” he told Bunnie, referencing unexpected moments like “Payphone” with Maroon 5 and “23” with Miley Cyrus. “That was one I never saw happening.”

The full interview promises more than just music talk. In the episode, Wiz opens up about balancing his career with fatherhood, his passion for Muay Thai, and the unconventional path he’s taken through the entertainment world.

Musically, Wiz has been staying active in 2025. In April, he dropped Kush + Orange Juice 2, a sequel to one of his most beloved mixtapes, which landed at No. 62 on the Billboard 200. With this rock collaboration now on the horizon, it’s clear the Pittsburgh rapper is still finding new ways to evolve.

Good Charlotte, meanwhile, is stepping back into the spotlight after nearly a decade. Known for 2000s hits like “Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous” and “The Anthem,” the band is now blending their pop-punk legacy with fresh collaborations, like this unexpected linkup with Khalifa.

Whether or not the track ends up on Motel Du Cap, one thing’s clear: Wiz and Good Charlotte are proving that genre lines are meant to be blurred.
