NLE Choppa and his girlfriend Marissa Da’Nae disclosed On Saturday, March 5 2022 that they had lost their baby son, Seven, in a miscarriage.
On March 7th NLE Choppa toke to Instagram with a pic of sitting outside a yard on the grass.
With a jar of liquor on the ground in front of him with the post caption “Fill The Comments Up With #FOREVE7 2.23•2022 👼🕊 #223💜”.
While his girlfriend Marissa Da’Nae posted a picture of her and NLE Choppa that looks like they were out on a date night.
Stating “ Talking bout this is so hard. But with Bryson next to me and being my supporter, this has helped me more. Losing our Son is so hard for me, I couldn’t function. But he has pulled me through and I’m thankful to have you by my side and with me along this journey. There’s a lot of women who suffer the things I suffer and go through the same things I go through.”
She continues “ So this also help to open up and let other women know that they aren’t alone. Thank you for all the kind words we truly appreciate it. Thank you Seven, for helping mommy grow more into a better person, pushing me into being more healthier and being the reason for me to continue to fight. I love you and I truly do appreciate the time we spent growing together and bonding. You have truly gave mommy more hope. We love you baby Seven Da’Shun Potts #Forever7 👼🕊”
Since the heartbreaking loss, NLE Choppa has taken the time to grieve and heal through his art. By hitting the studio and writing down his emotions and talking about the event.
NLE Choppa wrote on Instagram “I always wanted to make a song significant to gender reveals because I feel that’s one of the most special parts of a pregnancy. The curiosity of not knowing if it’s a girl or a boy but trusting that God will give what’s needed is beautiful. The first gender reveal I was a part of ever was one to remember God blessed me with a baby boy but a few months later decided to turn him into a angel to watch over me and my partner.”
Also adds that the song is to help inspire others with the same circumstances “for all the couples out there who have a gender reveal coming up in the future.” He captioned the post with “#FOREVER7.”
NLE Choppa has released his emotive new song titled “The Gender Reveal Song,” in homage to their unborn child. The track was released on March 11, 2022,

The song follows NLE Choppa’s Me vs. Me mixtape, which was premiered on January 28, 2022. Moneybagg Yo, G Herbo, Young Thug, and Polo G, made appearances on the album. The album debuted at No. 16 on the Billboard 200 and sold about 20,000 copies in its first week.
