Ua kahi ʻo Saweetie i kona poʻo a he mea kupanaha!

When they say new year new me some people really mean it. The Grammy-nominated artist known as “Icy Girl” has shaved her head. She flaunted her blonde buzzcut new look, while on vacation in a tropical location on Friday morning (Dec. 24) Christmas Eve. Relaxing in a pink and purple bikini under palm trees sitting on top of stunning blue water. With a drink by her side, the “tap in” singer appeared to be having the time of her life.

Predictably, Saweetie’s sudden hair transition got the internet buzzing, with her blond one-blade style becoming a trending topic on Twitter as people opined. Some fans supported, some were disappointed, and most were confused. “Oh yeah sis about to get her life in 2022,” wrote one fan, I love Saweetie’s bald head. I use to love my bald head. Makes you feel so free. Face card has to be valid to pull that off. Everybody can’t do it!” one person posted. “Now why would Saweetie go bald,” another person wondered. While others compared it to other bald bombshells including Amber Rose and Toni Braxton.

The “Icy” rapper is presently working on her sophomore album, Pretty Bitch Music, which was originally scheduled to be released earlier this year. Before releasing the LP, she will release an EP called Icy Season on January 7, 2022. Her track Icy Chain is included, as well as some unexpected collaborations. She’ll also be returning to her old university, USC, to teach two entrepreneurial studies courses as a guest professor.

“There’s a lot of feminine energy, I got some help from people who balanced out the ying and the yang of the project,” she said during an event for Jack Daniel’s.

She even collaborated with many hair companies such as her last collaboration with Kiss Edge Fixer Glued Gel.
