On Friday (February 4), Florida rapper $NOT released his new A$AP Rocky duet "Doja," which is titled after chart-topping Doja Cat.

There was some uncertainty about the release. "I'll f*** that b**** named Doja Cat," $NOT raps in the song's chorus,

However Doja Cat (and Genius) seems to misinterpret the line as "I f*** that b****  named Doja Cat."

This caused her to respond to his promotional tweet with the phrase "You f***** who?" prior to removing it.

$NOT later clarified the lyrics on Twitter, expressing his appreciation for Doja Cat and his intentions for the song.

"Y'all misconstrued it," he wrote. "‘I’ll f*** that bitch named Doja Cat' Im talkin my recklessness with no cognizance. It’s no disrespect to Doja. she a queen fr.”

“ I made this song to get lit in a moshpit types***."  since the release of  "Doja" it  has received over 2.5 million Spotify streams and 1.8 million views on YouTube for its music video."

“Then later on, I got into the more underground s***. It all started with Yung Lean. I listened to him, and I’m like, ‘D*** this is some crazy s***.’

$NOT, who is 24 years old, listed a group of artists who influenced him to become a rapper back in a February 2021 interview with Complex.

"I would watch a whole bunch of music videos when I was a kid. Lil Wayne, f****** Soulja Boy, Chief Keef. Then there was Tyler, The Creator with Golf Wang, Loiter Squad, and everything."

“That s*** was really cool. I’m like, ‘Damn.’ With Tyler, I ain’t even look at him as a rapper or a skateboarder. I was like, ‘Yo, this man’s a creator. That’s what I really wanted to do. Then later on, I got into the more underground s***. It all started with Yung Lean. I listened to him, and I’m like, ‘Damn, this is some crazy s***.’

“Then I dug real deep into it. Back then, people would call s*** like ‘vaporwave’ or ‘cloud rap’ rap or some s***. But I dug into it, like, ‘Yo, this man opened up some doors,'” he explained.
