Barbz, it’s time to finally celebrate the upcoming back-to-back releases from Nicki Minaj in August! The long-awaited song from Nicki Minaj’s return has a release date. The song “Freaky Girl,” featuring a sample of “Super Freak” by Rick James, will be released next month.
She teased the Rick James-sampled song on her social media platforms last week, it became a trending topic on TikTok and Twitter. Nicki Minaj intends to offer the Barbz two special surprises in August, according to a post she made on Instagram.
The Queen of Rap will release a brand-new edition of her radio program Queen Radio on August 11 through the Amazon Amp app. Following that she’s expecting to drop the new song the very next day, August 12.
Nicki Minaj promoted her next single on Twitter with a number of posts. Since Rick James’ “Super Freak” is sampled in “Freaky Girl,” and has posted a tweet of approval to the new single, she also alluded to herself as Nick James.

Following Nicki’s preview the other week, Barbz have been anticipating the official release date of the rapper’s return single, “Freaky Girl.” Some people believe Nicki Minaj’s future album, which the Trinidadian rapper promises will be released this summer, could be another pop album based on the “pop” vibe of the song. Nicki Minaj‘s “Freaky Girl” could mark the beginning of her long-awaited pop comeback. The successful singles “Starships,” “Pound the Alarm,” and “Roman Holiday” were all featured on her most recent pop album, “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded,” released in 2012.
During her upcoming “Queen Radio” Nicki plans to also give her fans another surprise, making the barbs go even crazy with their anticipation. Seems like the long wait may have been worth it after all. Now the barbs can finally be released out of the waiting room for a release, as beehives already left. Guess only the Bad Girl Riri fans are left waiting.
