Desiigner, the Brooklyn-based rapper and former G.O.O.D. Music signee, has released a new single called “Big Dawg” that blends elements of country and trap music. The track, which dropped on Friday, April 19th, 2024, comes with an official visualizer video.
Desiigner first gained widespread attention in 2016 with his hit single “Panda,” which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. He followed that up with other successful tracks like “Tiimmy Turner” and “Outlet” from his debut album L.O.D., released in 2018.
In addition to “Big Dawg,” Desiigner has been active in 2024, dropping the “Back To Biz” music video on the same day as “Big Dawg” and previously releasing “Drip Check” on April 12th. While he has not put out a new full-length album since L.O.D., these recent singles suggest he may have more new music on the way soon.
“Big Dawg” showcases Desiigner’s versatility, as he seamlessly incorporates country-inspired guitar riffs and vocal inflections into his signature trap sound. The result is a unique, genre-blending track that highlights the artist’s creative evolution.
