Ice Spice, the rising star from the Bronx, is set to take her talents global along with fellow Bronx Rapper Cash Cobain. The announcement of her upcoming Y2K World Tour is said to be in support of her debut album. “Y2K!” The album is set to debut on July 26th, fans can pre-order here.
The tour, consisting of 24 dates across Europe and North America, was revealed to eager fans on Instagram. Starting with international stops in Denmark on July 4 and continuing through Poland, Austria, Romania, the UK, Switzerland, and Belgium, Ice Spice‘s tour promises an electrifying experience for fans across the continents.
Upon returning to the United States, the 24-year-old artist began her domestic leg of the tour on July 30 with a show in Washington D.C. The tour then continued with 17 more stops, hitting major cities like Philadelphia, New York, Toronto, Chicago, Los Angeles, Houston, and Atlanta, before concluding with a grand finale in Miami Beach on August 31.
To add to the excitement, Ice Spice enlisted New York rapper Cash Cobain, known for his collaboration on the “Fisherrr (Remix),” as a supporting act for her North American dates. Providing the beats for the entire tour is RIOTUSA, her in-house producer and boyfriend. Tickets for the tour went on sale on June 7, allowing fans to secure their spots for what promises to be an unforgettable series of performances.
Ice Spice’s debut album, Y2K, set to drop on July 26, is a testament to her roots and influences, partly inspired by her mother’s embodiment of the Y2K aesthetic. The album cover revealed recently, pays homage to her New York City upbringing, featuring graffiti-tagged walls and subway signs, capturing the essence of her artistic journey.
The tour announcement follows a string of successful singles from Ice Spice, including collaborations with artists like Rema and Sean Paul. In an interview with Zane Lowe, she credited her mother for inspiring the nostalgic theme of Y2K, recalling memories of the era’s fashion and culture.
