Jack Harlow, the rising rap sensation, has just dropped his highly-anticipated single, “Lovin On Me,” signaling a fresh chapter in his career. The track, which is already generating buzz, was released on Friday, November 10, and Harlow himself labeled it as the initiation of a “new era.”
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Harlow expressed his gratitude to his fans, saying, “Thank u for allowing me to reset this year. I moved back to Kentucky and gave u an album I could not have made on the road. Surrounded by family & childhood friends, this has been one of the happiest years of my life. But now… a new era begins.”
“Lovin On Me” is built on a sample of R&B singer Delbert “Dale” Greer’s 1995 track “Whatever.” Harlow’s verses are brimming with playful and confident rhymes, and he even drops shoutouts to artists like Detroit rapper Skilla Baby, Rico Suave, and Enrique Iglesias. The song rides on a bouncy, club-friendly beat, matching its upbeat vibe.
The accompanying music video mirrors the track’s energy, featuring Harlow dancing energetically, sporting a mullet, flexing his biceps in a skimpy vest, and even cuddling a puppy. The video also showcases appearances from Harlow’s friends and partygoers.
Harlow offered a preview of “Lovin On Me” on TikTok, where it gained immense popularity with over 1.5 million likes and 75,000 bookmarks. As the song makes its debut, Harlow is undoubtedly aiming for another hit on the Billboard Hot 100, following the success of previous tracks like “First Class” (No. 1), “Industry Baby” with Lil Nas X (No. 1), and “Whats Poppin” (No. 2).
Despite recently releasing his third album, “Jackman,” in April, Harlow has maintained a hectic schedule. He collaborated with K-Pop sensation Jung Kook and is gearing up for an arena tour in his home state of Kentucky. Additionally, the 25-year-old artist is set to provide halftime entertainment during the Detroit Lions-Green Bay Packers Thanksgiving game on November 23, promising an exciting and eventful season ahead for Jack Harlow fans.
