Detroit-based rapper Skilla Baby has released a new single titled “Free Big Meech” on Friday, April 22, 2024. The track features a music video directed by an unknown director.
Skilla Baby, whose real name is Demetrius Flenory Jr., is the son of Big Meech, the founder of the Black Mafia Family (BMF) crime syndicate. Skilla Baby has been steadily building his reputation in the hip-hop scene, with several hit songs and albums under his belt.
Some of Skilla Baby’s most popular tracks include “Bae,” “Leave It in the Streets, ” “Icky Vicky Vibes,” “Trevon,” and “Drip Too Hard”. His debut album “Skilla Season.” “crack Music 2,” and “Detroit Raised Me” was released in 2021 and received critical acclaim.
The new single “Free Big Meech” is likely a tribute to Skilla Baby’s father, who is currently serving a 30-year federal prison sentence for drug trafficking and money laundering. The song’s lyrics and music video seem to advocate for Big Meech’s release from prison.
The release of “Free Big Meech” follows Skilla Baby’s previous single “Plate,” which was dropped in February 2024. Fans are eagerly awaiting more new music from the rising star in the coming months.
