Beverly Hills, California producer The Alchemist is returning with a new album “Heads I Win, Tails You Lose,” and bringing his former hip-hop group back to reality. Gangrene, which includes the Cali rapper, along with Oh No, another Californian, released the new track on Friday, April 19th.
With their fourth project, “Heads I Win, Tails You Lose,” Oh No—known for his extensive sampling, ability to integrate various influences into his music, and unique way of incorporating different cultural sounds into his music—and Alchemist, whose versatility spans from thugged out Queens rap, gritty, street-oriented, experimental materials, and crazy and innovative beats, are back to show hip-hop some old-school B-Boys vibes again.
They’ve developed a great working relationship and have been regularly collaborating since 2010. However, the last album from these talented rappers that we received was “You Disgust Me,” which was released in 2015.
The album came with a music video for “Oxnard Water Torture,” which was previously released at the beginning of April. The joint track title is also the city in which Oh No lives.
