The Weeknd Upcoming Album “Hurry Up Tomorrow” Details

The Weeknd has confirmed that his sixth studio album, and the final installment of his ongoing trilogy, will be titled “Hurry Up Tomorrow.” The announcement comes after 2020’s “After Hours” and 2022’s “Dawn FM.” The Weeknd revealed on his Instagram page Wednesday, sharing new details about the much-anticipated project.

This will mark the end of a significant era for The Weeknd, who has experienced tremendous success and evolution with his last two albums. “After Hours,” released in 2020, captivated audiences with its dark, atmospheric sound, and singles like “Blinding Lights” broke records, becoming one of the longest-charting hits on the Billboard Hot 100. “Dawn FM” followed in 2022, taking fans on a more introspective, surreal journey, blending melodies with a fictional radio broadcast hosted by Jim Carrey.

The announcement is paired with a series of dramatic, introspective statements, filled with self-referential lyrics from his past songs, all set against a backdrop of equally dramatic symphonic music.

“Yesterday was fourteen years ago… We held our breath, falling into a shimmering sea in the after hours of the night. Attempted to cleanse the wounds with melodies and lights, a bulletproof bandage to shield what lies beneath,” he wrote in a video, where red text scrolled up the screen. “In a place where the seasons never changed, where time ceased to exist. But therein lays the problem” He said.

Continuing “Today has felt like an endless spin. I keep distorting the truth, immune to the dizziness, numb to the nausea. What lies beneath — screams in silence… I look in the mirror and feel both old and new, stuck in limbo and unable to move. I still haven’t faced myself… The very thing that once made me invincible failed me on the world stage. A new trauma surfaced. When today ends, I’ll discover who I am.”

Fans have long speculated about the connection between “After Hours,” “Dawn FM,” and the final album, “Hurry Up Tomorrow.” The Weeknd has hinted that these projects explore life, death, and the afterlife, forming a cohesive narrative. With his cryptic messages and mysterious aesthetics, the artist continues to generate excitement and curiosity about what Hurry Up Tomorrow will deliver.
