Travis Scott has announced the extension of his “Utopia: Circus Maximus” tour to the U.K. and Europe, following a successful arena run in North America. The Houston rapper is set to kick off the upcoming tour on June 28 at the GelreDome in Arnhem, Netherlands. The tour will then move to Poland, with the TAURON Arena in Krakow hosting a night of excitement on July 2nd.
Continuing its journey, the tour will arrive in Switzerland on July 4th, where the Hallenstadion in Zurich will be the next stop. The Allianz Riviera in Nice, France, will then host the tour on July 6th, followed by a visit to Belgium, Antwerp at the Sportpaleis Arena on July 9th, promising a night of spectacular performances. The tour will also make stops in the Czech Republic (Prague), London and Manchester in the UK, as well as Hamburg and Cologne in Germany, and Milan in Italy. The last show of the tour will take place at Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt on July 27.
The original “Utopia: Circus Maximus” was intended to celebrate the release of his record-breaking album ‘Utopia.’ ‘Utopia’ is the fourth studio album by American rapper Travis Scott. It was released through Cactus Jack and Epic Records on July 28, 2023. The album features guest appearances from Beyoncé, 21 Savage, Young Thug, Drake, the Weeknd, Kid Cudi, Playboi Carti, Future, Westside Gunn, Rob49, SZA, Teezo Touchdown, Swae Lee, James Blake, Dave Chappelle, Yung Lean, and Bad Bunny. Fans who bought a physical copy of the album also got additional guest appearances from Lil Uzi Vert and Sheck Wes.
The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, earning 496,000 album-equivalent units, of which 252,000 units were pure album sales. All 19 songs from the album debuted on the Billboard Hot 100, making Scott the 15th artist in the chart’s history to log 100-plus career entries. The album became Scott’s first number one album in the United Kingdom, also reaching the top in Canada, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, and the Netherlands. The singles “K-pop”, “Delresto (Echoes)”, “Meltdown”, “I Know ?”, and “Fe!n” gained the most traction from the album.
‘Utopia’ serves as the follow-up to Travis Scott’s third studio album, ‘Astroworld’ (2018), which also had a corresponding tour. Travis Scott‘s 2021 Astroworld festival tragedy led to 10 wrongful death lawsuits against the rapper and several companies, most of which have been settled. Currently, only one case is pending, with all others, including one set for trial, having been resolved confidentially.
The ‘Utopia: Circus Maximus’ Tour to UK and Europe tickets will go on sale Friday May 10th, at 10am local time.
