    Tha Dogg Pound and Snoop Dogg Drops “Smoke Up” Music Video

    Rumors aren’t always true, and legendary West Coast hip-hop group Tha Dogg Pound is prove as they teame up with longtime collaborator Snoop Dogg for the new single “Smoke Up”, which premiered on April 17, 2024. Proving to everyone they are indeed still a group.

    Tha Dogg Pound, consisting of rappers Daz Dillinger and Kurupt, hails from Long Beach, California. The duo first rose to prominence in the 1990s as part of the Death Row Records roster, releasing their acclaimed debut album Dogg Food in 1995. Some of their biggest hits include “New York, New York,” “Cali Iz Active,” “The Dogg Pound – I Don’t Like to dream About Getting Paid,” “Let’s Play House,” and “What Would You Do” with Snoop Dogg.

    The “Smoke Up” video, directed by Keemotion, showcases the longtime chemistry between Tha Dogg Pound and Snoop as they trade verses over the laid-back, G-funk inspired beat. The music video begins with several prominent Hip Hop celebrities, including Druski, Big Boy, Cedric the Entertainer, Cam’ron, Ray J, Tyrese Gibson, and more.The track is set to appear on Tha Dogg Pound’s forthcoming album W.A.W.G., which will mark the group’s first full-length collaboration with Dr. Dre since their 1995 debut.

    The release of “Smoke Up” comes as Tha Dogg Pound prepares to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their classic album “Dogg Food.” Fans can expect more collaborative efforts between the group and Snoop Dogg as they continue to show their status as West Coast rap royalty.
