Young Thug had a big moment at the end of 2024 when he accepted a plea deal and was released from jail. Fans were excited to hear that he’ll be performing live for the first time since his release.
The official Les Ardentes Instagram page shared that the annual festival will be held in Liège, Belgium, from July 3 to July 6, 2025. The big announcement on the graphic was that Young Thug will perform on July 5th. Although he hasn’t confirmed it himself, this is huge news since he hasn’t performed live anywhere since 2022.
It’s also likely that more shows will be announced soon. One of the conditions of his plea deal requires him to perform at four charity shows each year. However, he has been quiet recently, likely due to his ongoing legal issues with AEG (Anschutz Entertainment Group).
AEG claims that in 2017, Young Thug signed a deal with them that gave him a $5.25 million loan, which he hasn’t fully repaid. They also say he gave up his copyright to the company’s music publishing. AEG sued him in 2022 for $6 million, saying he broke their contract by booking shows outside of their agreement, which cost them a lot of money.
Despite the legal battles, Young Thug made a strong return to music by featuring on Lil Baby’s track “Dum, Dumb and Dumber” alongside Future. At the end of 2024, he also made his classic mixtapes, Slime Season and Slime Season 2, available on all streaming platforms.
Fans are still waiting for his first solo album since his release, but there are rumors he might be working on a project with Lil Baby and Future. For now, you can check out “Dum, Dumb and Dumber” while you wait.
