Rihanna is honoring her first ‘National Heroes Day’ as a Barbados national hero! Barbados, Rihanna’s homeland, held a milestone presidential campaign in 2021 as it converted from British colonialism to becoming its own government.
Rihanna was declared a “National Hero” in Barbados during the country’s commencement ceremony in November, with the Prime Minister bestowing a high honor on her during the inaugural event.
“On behalf of a grateful nation, but an even prouder people, we, therefore, present to you the designee for the national hero of Barbados, Ambassador Robyn Rihanna Fenty,” Barbadian Prime Minister Mia Mottley said during her speech back in November. ” “May you continue to shine like a diamond and bring honor to your nation by your works, by your actions, and to do credit wherever you shall go.”
