He acknowledges his shortcomings, rapping, “Dear Queens, I know lately I been everything inside this fucking world but a king/Forgive me for my savage and the habit that I bring.” The track delves into themes of respect, accountability, and the importance of protecting and honoring Black women.
Beyond his music, Maino has been vocal on social and political issues. Recently, he weighed in on the sexual assault allegations surrounding Diddy, drawing parallels to historical FBI counterintelligence operations against Black leaders.
During an appearance on The Baller Alert Show, Maino compared the allegations against Diddy to COINTELPRO, the FBI program that targeted organizations deemed subversive, including the Black Panther Party, from 1956 to 1971. He highlighted similarities in tactics, such as spreading misinformation to sow discord and division within the community.
