Bow Wow appears to be nearing the end of his career, more than five years after first announcing his retirement. When Bow Wow releases his final album, he wants to create a complete circle moment. He disclosed his plans to end his career where it all began, Death Row Records.
“I’ma do one more album. It’s gonna be the last one and it’s gonna be called Before 30, and I’ma have Snoop narrate the whole thing,” Bow Wow told Hot 97’s “Ebro in the Morning.” “So it’s gonna be kind of a different project, 10 songs.”

While responding to a fan on Twitter. The 34-year-old was asked when he’ll collaborate with Snoop Dogg during his Twitter Q&A session on Friday morning responded, “Spoke to snoop last week. Very soon. My plan is to put my final album on Death Row and close my music career out where it began.” “I’m tryna do the d wade and come home and close it out,” he wrote. He then continues to reply “I’m tryna do the Dwayne Wade and come home and close it out.”
Bow Wow has been working on his final album since announcing his retirement from the rap industry over five years ago. Last year, he intrigued fans with several insights about the upcoming release during his discussion with Hot 97’s “Ebro In The Morning.” He said that The 10-track album’s title would be “Before 30”, which will be a homage to his achievements prior to turning 30 years old.
To those that don’t recall, Shad Moss was given the nickname Lil’ Bow Wow by Snoop Dogg in the mid-1990s, after he had an unplanned performance on the set of “Chronic” in 1993. Bow Wow also did skits on Snoop’s debut album Doggystyle in 1993, prior to joining Jermaine Dupri’s So So Def label and recording “Beware of Dog in 2000”. So it’s not startling that Bow Wow’s intention is to collaborate with Death Row in 2022. Snoop acquired the brand from MNRK Music Group, formerly known as eOne Music, which was purchased by Hasbro in 2019 for $4 billion. Although 2Pac and Dr.Dre are reported not going to be included under the record, it still has many hit records still producing millions as of 2022 and plans on making even more.
Snoop Dogg is expected to be narrating the project as well, which is a major reason why Bow is doing it in the first place. “Snoop told me no way you can retire before me.” he once pinned a response on Twitter “You owe us one more. Bow Wow has recorded six solo albums over the course of his 20-year period, beginning with Beware of Dog in 2000 to New Jack City II, his most recent album, which was released in 2009. Along with Ignorant Sh*** album, and Kinda Country Kinda Hood Instrumental, P.I., and My Pain singles. His albums include Doggy Bag December 18th, 2001, Unleash August 19, 2003, wanted July 12, 2005, and The Price of Fame December 19, 2006. Although he didn’t release an album since 2009, he has had a collab with a few artists and dropped a few mixtapes such as Greenlight 1-6, I’m Better Than You, We in da Club, Woah, Yeaahh, Made You, P**** Talk, Raris & Porsches, Met On Collins (DM), Sweat, Bounce wit me, and a few others.
Bow Wow has a sum of twelve top 40 singles successful hits, which landed on the US Billboard Hot 100 list (three of which were top ten on the chart) in his career. With Over 10 million copies and 14 million digital assets have been sold worldwide, and over 10 singles number 1 hits to be accurate (14 singles, two albums). He is undeniably an impeccable artist with so much impact on many fans and the music industry. With barely enough albums and releases, unlike other artists.
