Ice Spice and Cash Cobain have returned with “Fisherrr,” a remix collaboration that is perfect for the summer.
A recently leaked video of the big NYC collaboration began making the rounds online. The much-anticipated Cash Cobain and Ice Spice collaboration has finally arrived.
The 24-year-old rapper collaborated with musicians Cash Cobain and Bay Swag on a remix of their widely popular song “Fisherrr,” which went viral in New York on Friday, April 26.
Ice raps, “Got an attitude but I’m feeling lit, so I ain’t mad at you / And I’m tatted too and it’s fatter too, I’m your baddest boo,” in response to Cash’s opening line, following the song’s theme. She rhymes, “I ain’t callin’ you “my boo,” n****, what you thought? I was feelin’ you?”” as a throwback to her breakthrough song “Munch.”
Ice Spice’s “Munch” and Cash Cobain and Chow Lee’s “sexy drill” is what makes this song such a well liked song, from a flawless fusion of catchy lyrics and a fiery sound, complete with a music video. In the KZA-directed video, Ice meets new friends in a Chinese restaurant, strolls across New York City, and even strikes a photo in the back seat of a car with some cash.
In addition to the growing popularity of “Fisherrr,” Cobain, a fellow Bronx native, has had a busy few months, landing production credits for artists like Drake and PinkPantheress. He hinted at the possibility of working with artists like Frank Ocean, Don Toliver, and Travis Scott in a recent interview with Billboard.
This song is Ice Spice’s first feature after Coachella in May, when she collaborated with Taylor Swift on their “Karma” remake. She is giving fans teases about new songs that will appear on her upcoming first album, Y2K. Alongside Denzel Washington, Ice Spice will also be starring in her first feature film, Spike Lee‘s version of Akira Kurosawa’s 1963 thriller “High and Low”.
Ice Spice last appeared in a feature nearly a year ago on May 27, 2018, when she collaborated with Taylor Swift on their “Karma” remix. In the previous year, she also collaborated on viral hits like “Boy’s a liar Pt. 2.” by PinkPantheress and “One Time” with Skillibeng, B-Lovee, and J.I. The song follows her Coachella performance last week, where she premiered her upcoming songs “Gimme A Light” and “Deli.” She is giving fans teases about new songs that will appear on her upcoming first album, Y2K.
