JT from the City Girls Release “Okay”

JT from the City Girls has returned with yet another single, and much like her previous release “Sideways,” she’s not holding back when it comes to addressing her fellow rap artists. Many fans speculated who she may have came for from, Cardi, Sukihaha, Interestingly, it appears that JT may still have some unresolved issues with Cardi B, as one line in her latest track “Okay” seems to be aimed directly at the Bronx native.

Debuting early Friday (April 26), “Okay” immediately caught the attention of fans who paid close attention to a particular lyric seemingly directed towards the “Money” rapper. JT, the Miami-based rapper, spits, “She ate crab legs, now her whole tooth missin’/ Cheap ass veneers, you stay talkin’ shit/ Put a marker to this bitch, she’s so counterfeit,” during one verse of the song.

This reference to missing teeth and inexpensive veneers sparked speculation among fans, with many theorizing that it was a jab at Cardi, who just a month prior had shared a video revealing a missing tooth and attributing it to a veneer mishap while eating a bagel. The tension between Cardi and JT dates back to 2022 when they engaged in a heated exchange on social media, publicly airing what had been a private conversation and exchanging insults and accusations of ghostwriting.

In recent developments, JT embarked on her first solo tour, celebrating her single “Sideways” and building anticipation for her upcoming album. The tour, spanning 14 days, kicked off on March 23 in Houston and is slated to conclude in Nassali, Bahamas. Along the way, JT made stops in various cities including Philadelphia, Dallas, Camden, Jacksonville, Cleveland, Tampa, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Charlotte, Miami, Baltimore, Atlanta, New York, Milwaukee, Norcross, and Kansas City. Notably, she even added additional dates and locations during the tour, including a performance in Tampa, Florida on April 3rd, where she was joined by local talent Peach McIntyre. For those eagerly awaiting tickets in Chicago, keep an eye on her page as she may announce your city next. Her upcoming show is scheduled for Friday, April 26, at The Harbor in New York, New York.

With “Okay,” JT continues her streak of solo releases, following up on the success of “No Bars” and “Sideways,” all of which are building anticipation for her forthcoming solo album, “City Cinderella.”
