The Alchemist, Kevin Durant and Nike Will Be Dropping KD 17 “The Alchemist”

American hip hop artist The Alchemist, along with Kevin Durant and Nike, is teaming up for a special edition of the “Producer Series” collection set to drop in Summer 2024. This collaboration aims to blend The Alchemist’s unique style with sneaker culture, sparking excitement among fans and collectors. Nike, with the help of Kevin Durant, is once again merging music and footwear to create something special.

Kevin Durant, known for his skills on the basketball court with the Phoenix Suns, is gearing up to release his latest signature kicks, part of the “Producer Series” collection. One of these pairs pays tribute to producer Metro Boomin, known for his work with “Heroes & Villains.” This isn’t Durant’s first time honoring producers; back in 2022, Nike released the KD 15 “Producer Pack,” celebrating 9th Wonder, Cardo, and Boi-1da.

With Beverly Hills, California rapper The Alchemist’s creative touch, the new KD 17 “The Alchemist” boasts an eye-catching color scheme. The sneaker features a coconut milk-colored rubber sole and midsole, serving as a neutral base for the vibrant atomic violet, viotech purple, white, hyper grape, and lime green Swoosh colors arranged in a gradient pattern on the upper. Additionally, The Alchemist’s ALC Records logo is featured on the tongue.

This collaboration will also include partnerships from Bink! a hip hop producer from Norfolk, Virginia, notable for his work with Roc-A-Fella Records artists, and St. Louis Record producer Metro Boomin as well, who have also lent their names to colorways of Kevin Durant’s seventeenth signature shoe. The Alchemist x Nike KD 17 is set to release on June 14th, with a retail price of $160 on Nike.com.
