He recently announced the launch of a new initiative called Impact MENTorship, which is dedicated to providing free mentorships to Black men in the United States and Puerto Rico.
This program, as outlined on its official website, is open to all Black men aged 18 and older. It offers mentorship in both career and personal development. Aspiring mentees will have the opportunity to apply for mentorship starting on October 15, opening doors to guidance and support from experienced professionals.
Joey Bada$$ shared this exciting news on his Instagram account on October 10. In his post, he expressed his enthusiasm for the project and revealed its origins, crediting his friend Sophie Chang and the organization Unlock Her Potential for inspiring this endeavor.
In his announcement, Joey Bada$$ proudly unveiled a network of mentors encompassing various fields, including ART, CULINARY, FASHION, FILM/TV, MEDIA, MUSIC, and SPORTS. He intends to continue introducing new mentors in the days leading up to the application launch, showcasing the diverse expertise available to aspiring mentees.
Among the mentors already announced are notable figures such as Jaylen Brown of the Boston Celtics, fashion designer Tremaine Emory, and 19 Keys. Their participation underscores the program’s commitment to offering valuable guidance across different domains.
While Joey Bada$$ has been actively engaged in the mentorship initiative, he hasn’t neglected his musical career. Back in April, he treated fans to the official video for his latest single, “Fallin.” The track demonstrated Joey’s versatility as an artist, with a mesmerizing bass line and smooth drum patterns setting the stage for his vocal prowess.
