Latto’s “Big Energy” is still ascending the Billboard charts, and it is now at No. 3 on the list. The Clayton County-born rapper’s hit track was already high on the chart and had been rising on the Billboard Hot 100 prior to her releasing the “777” album, which debuted in March. The single was sitting at No. 14 well before her album’s debut. On Twitter Monday, April 4 2022 Latto went on Twitter to announce that the single “Big Energy” had moved up eight spots to No. 3. This is Latto’s first time in the top ten of the Hot 100.

“Big Energy” was released on September 24, 2021, and opened at No. 15 on the Billboard charts, but on March 28, 2022, a release of the original song remix was premiered featuring Mariah Carey and Dj Khaled. The remix was released shortly after her “777” album, which eas debut on March 25, 202. The Dj Khalid & Mariah Carey remix version had helped increased Latto’s audience reach enabling her original track stream to peak higher.
She continues to express her appreciation and happiness about her success hit with a subsequent tweet on Tuesday, April 5, 2022. Stating “The fact Big Energy debuted on the bubbling under the chart and is now top 3 on hot 100 is wildddddd.”

The song also charted at No. 15 on the Billboard 200, up 5-2 on Digital Song Sales (12,900, up 146%), and 7-6 on Radio Songs (52.7 million, up 8%), becoming her highest-charting project to date. It’s also the first female rap song to reach the top 5 on Billboard since Cardi B’s “Up.”
