Rick Ross Is Looking For A Piglet For His “Promise Land Zoo” Naming It After Nico van der Host

In the wake of a fiery dispute over the authenticity of his expensive jewelry, hip-hop mogul Rick Ross, also known as the “Boss,” has taken an unexpected turn in his quest for retaliation. No longer content with just defending himself against accusations of flaunting a fake watch, Ross has set his sights on acquiring a piglet – one he plans to name after his watch critic, Nico Leonard van der Host.

The conflict began when Nico Leonard van der Host, self-proclaimed watch expert, publicly challenged the legitimacy of Ross’s watch: a green Audemars Piguet Royal Oak with 816 baguette-cut emeralds. Unfazed by the rapper’s claims of owning a timepiece worth over $3 million, van der Host took to Instagram on March 4th, 2024, to call out Ross’s watch.

Asserting that Ross’s watch was nothing more than a counterfeit, van der Host questioned the rap mogul’s credibility and demanded answers regarding the watch’s purported value. He pointed out that there were only two similar green Audemars Piguet watches in existence, one valued at an eye-watering $41 million and the other at $37 million, further fueling the controversy surrounding Ross’s timepiece. Stating  “Why are you flaunting a fake watch and saying that watch is worth $3.25 million, man? I thought you had to be an example for the youth etc. Mate, load of balls, get your act together. This is pathetic.”

In classic Rick Ross fashion, the rap mogul fired back at his critic, dismissing van der Host as a “little fat guy in the one-cubicle office.” Ross brushed off the accusations, emphasizing the rarity of the emeralds being amazed by his watch and insinuating that obtaining such luxury was impossible for someone of his stature.

As the debate raged on, with some speculating that Ross’s watch might be aftermarket (not authorized by AP. RR) rather than outright fake, the “Boss” decided to take matters into his own hands, angrily criticizing the watch expert, belittling him as a “little fat guy in the one-cubicle office.”

But Ross didn’t stop there. In a video posted alongside jeweler Robert, Ross aimed to set the record straight once and for all. He refuted van der Host’s claims, labeling them as inaccurate and urging the watch critic to stick to the facts. With a hint of sarcasm, Ross advised van der Host to “stay from underneath the bottom of people’s shoes piglet and speak facts.”

On April 2nd, 2024, Ross announced on his Instagram story his intention to acquire a piglet for his “Promise Land Zoo” at his Atlanta estate, and name it after his outspoken critic, Nico Leonard van der Host.

Throughout his career, Rick Ross, a native of Carol City, Florida, has solidified his status as one of hip-hop’s most prominent figures. From chart-topping hits like “Hustlin'” and “The Boss” to collaborations with the likes of Drake, Jay-Z, and Lil Wayne, Ross’s influence in the rap game knows no bounds.

As the controversy surrounding his watch continues to unfold, Rick Ross’s pursuit of a piglet named “Nico” serves as a testament to his unyielding determination and unwavering commitment to asserting his dominance – both in the world of hip-hop and beyond.
