Metro Boomin Secures The Number 1 Spot On Billboard’s Hot 100 With Future & Kendrick Lamar’s Smash Hit ‘Like That’

Hip Hop is once again on top with Future & Kendrick Lamar’s single ‘Like That’. The song came as a surprise to fans as Kendrick Lamar made diss references to J Cole & Drake who are currently on the ‘It’s All A Blur Tour – Big As The What?’ Kendrick referred to J Cole’s statement where he called them the Big 3 on the “First Person Shooter” single with Drake, but it seems as if Kendrick doesn’t want any parts of the proposed group. Kendrick rapped the lyrics ‘Yeah, get up with me/ F**k sneak dissin’, first person shooter/ I hope they came with three switches.’

While Future didn’t make any disses to other artists on the song, Kendrick took a different approach, completely denouncing the Big 3 group and stating ‘MF the big three, it’s just big me.’ Those lyrics helped propel the song to #1 on the Billboard charts. It should also be noted that five other songs off the LP ‘We Don’t Trust You’ landed in the top 10. Many hip-hop critics like Joe Budden and DJ Akademiks commented on this, which helped promote the LP. It sold 251,000 copies in the United States in its first week and was #1.

Fans are eagerly waiting to hear a response from either J Cole or Drake. However, since then, no new music has been released. It was reported that Drake, at the last minute, didn’t clear a single on Bfb Da Packman’s album because of the Kendrick’s diss.

    Metro Boomin-HipHopUntapped

Metro Boomin reacted to the news on Twitter / X, saying, ‘Artists are ‘too scared’ to promote ‘We Don’t Trust You,’ but it clearly wasn’t needed as they still reached number one with the LP. Congrats to Metro, Future, and Kendrick! Hopefully, this will be an inspiration to more artists and prove the doubters wrong who say hip hop is dying. Recently, Metro also said his phone and account were hacked.
