Another intriguing video from Kendrick Lamar’s highly praised “Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers” album has been released. The video for “Count Me Out” was released by Lamar on Friday, December 16. Oscar-winning actress Dame Helen Mirren is featured in the album cut by Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers’ music video.
The Dave Free and Lamar-directed video, he confides in a famous British actress named Helen Mirren who plays his psychiatrist. The Compton native can be seen in the video responding to a range of queries while seated in the therapist’s chair. Throughout the song you can see the “Loyalty” artist going through a spectrum of emotions as the video goes on, with the feelings being represented by perplexing scenes.
Eight 2023 Grammy Award nominations were given to Kendrick Lamar’s highly acclaimed “Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers” album. For “The Heart Part 5,” he has received nominations for Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Music Video. Alongside Best Rap Song, Best Rap Performance, Best Melodic Rap Performance, and Best Rap Album for the album “Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers” album.
Kendrick Lamar is expected to be performing twice more this upcoming summer with his cousin Baby Keem, as part of Primavera Sound 2023‘s double weekend run, in 2033 on June 4th at Barcelona’s Parc Del Frum and June 9th at Madrid’s Arganda Del Rey. Kendrick Lamar is also currently wrapping up his European “Leg Of His Big Steppers’ ‘ Tour on Saturday (December 17).
Kendrick Lamar had filmed his show in Paris, France at the Accor Arena, for his fans who missed it, so that they can watch the entire performance on Amazon Prime Video. In addition, the show was a celebration to mark the tenth anniversary of his widely acclaimed second studio album “Good Kid, m.A.A.d City.”
