DDG began 2021 with the release of his third album, Die 4 Respect released March 19, 2021. Which is an 11-track album that included Youngboy Never Broke Again, Pnb Rock, Coi Leray, 42 Dugg, Blueface, Lil Yatchy, 2KBABY, and others.
DDG spent the rest of the year marketing the album and promoting it to reach new & wider audiences, which enabled him to earn a seat in the XXL Freshman Class of 2021. Along with names like Blxst, Flo Milli, Pooh Shiesty, Toossi, Morray, Rubi Rose, and others, he found himself on the list. DDG is back in the studio working on new music, as seen by his new video for “Elon Musk” alongside Gunna.
For the new video “Elon Musk,” DDG has linked up with Gunna. StripMall produced the video, which accompanies the young artist as he boards a rocket and is launched into space.
The video serves as a little peek into what’s to come for the rapper, as he strives to surpass Soulja Boy to a first by becoming the first rapper to be taken to space. DDG decides to take his abilities to the stars in the new visual, as he believes he’s undeniably a superstar. He portrays an astronaut who boards a spaceship and travels to space with a blunt in hand and a girlfriend by his side. Gunna appears by him in the video, strapped with his own weapon, delivering his verse.
