Lil Wayne is back with his classic home town festival and fans are ready! After a two-year break because of the Covid-19 outbreak, the New Orleans, Louisiana native has finally shared the details of his hometown event “Lil WeezyAna Fest.”
Lil Wayne and Live Nation Urban have officially announced that the sixth annual “Lil WeezyAna Fest” will be sponsored by both Q93 and Live Nation Urban. “Lil WeezyAna Fest” has become a yearly gathering for Wayne that celebrates the musical heritage of the community while also giving him an opportunity to support the community.
“We’re glad to be back home, New Orleans birthed us and we can travel and hit the stage anywhere in the world, but there’s no place like home! As always, we will be honoring the many lives lost in Hurricane Katrina as this year marks the 17th year anniversary. Wayne is excited to get back home as this one will be one you won’t want to miss!”

After its 2018 festival, the festival is finally scheduled to return to New Orleans’ Champions Square on August 27. Lil Wayne, Babyface Ray, Moneybagg Yo, Rob 49, and Coi Leray are all expected to be participating at the Fest. As we get closer to the date, more “surprise” features should also be announced.
For fans looking to purchase their tickets for “Lil WeezyAna Fest,” it’s reported to be available on Friday, July 15th at 10 a.m. local time. Pre-sale tickets are presently available to only Citi cardholders until Thursday, July 14th. Each ticket purchase will also provide $0.50 donation to educational programs for underprivileged citizens of New Orleans.
In 2015, the first-ever Lil WeezyAna Fest took place, the most recent Lil Weezyana Fest took place in 2019. Lil Wayne had featured big Celebrity names such as Future, DJ Khaled, Meek Mill, the Icy Princess Saweetie, Melii, Travis Scott, Kash Doll, Trey Songz, Megan Thee Stallion, Leven Kali, and Akbar V. For fans looking for more of Lil Wayne, DJ Premier‘s “Hip Hop Volume 1” is scheduled to feature Lil Wayne, and the EP will be released this Friday, July 15, 2022.
