    Meek Mill Donates $500K in Christmas Gifts to Families In Need In Philly

    Hip Hop rapper and one of Philadelphia’s most prolific icons Meek Mill (Robert Rihmeek Williams) donates $500K in Christmas gifts, to families in need on Sunday, in Philly. The event took place from 12 pm to 5 pm Sunday at the Grand Yesha Ballroom on 2308 Snyder Avenue. Where the lines were long and full of excited and grateful Philadelphia families and fans of Meek Mill.

    “I feel like if you can help, help. We’ve been doing it for a while now in our community.” meek stated

    Meek Mill has been extremely busy this holiday season by giving back to the community in many ways. Last week he was at the Well Fargo center stadium playing with kids in the Reform Alliance basketball game (for families who have been adversely affected by the criminal justice system). Meek is well known for his love for Philly and for giving back to the community he was born and raised in. From helping artists by creating his own record label DreamChasers, becoming a big public figure for Prison Reform, donating winter supplies and school supplies over the past years, helping his close friends, and families he’s constantly giving back to the people he loves.  Meek Mill is a Grammy-nominated artist with two Platinum albums and two Gold albums. His fifth solo studio album, “Expensive Pain,” was released not too long ago this year October 2021. Debuting at the number at #1 on the US Billboard 200 chart. 

    “I am one of those kids, so I know what it means to be in these types of situations. I make sure I cater to it the way I just did it out there. It’s fun for me, too.” Meek said last Wednesday, December 15th at the Reform Alliance basketball game.

    With the support of Robert Kraft ( New England Patriots owner ), Michael Rubin ( the Philadelphia 76ers co-owner & CEO of Fanatics ), and his own record label company DreamChasers, collectively they donated many gifts from gift cards, winter coats, MacBooks, games, HD tablets, dolls, bikes, and helmets. Also attending the event was Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw and Mayor Jim Kenney.

    “Took them blessings and put on for my peoples in a major way ?blessings?” Meek Posted a few hours ago after the event.

    A mother from Drexel who had attended the event that day told NBC10 new, who was covering the story at the time, ” I’m trying to get him a laptop or like a tablet or something so he could play with it, He likes electronics. It’s great. I love it, I love when people give back to the community. It’s the best!” Lasheya Wright said. Wright also stated that she and her family have been having a difficult time for the past two years and she’s astonished by the kindness of strangers.

    Mill also gave a separate donation of $30,000 to the Philadelphia chapter of Twelve Days of Christmas, a volunteer organization that provides supplies to families in need during the holidays.  “I appreciate it because it’s really inspirational to the youth because there’s a lot going on right now and it’s a lot of killing going on right now, but it’s like he’s really helping. It’s really inspirational and I appreciate it” said Saeed Huntley from the south Philly area.

    Meek is known for blessing his city, family, and friends in return for all the blessings he’s received from everyone throughout the years. From his fans who stream his music, protest, and support him any way they can to his friends and family who loves and supports him through hard times. An American star, a businessman, father, and entrepreneur he does it all and still finds time to give back.
